Newcomb’s Ranch was first established in 1875 as a 160-acre horse ranch by Levi Newcomb and his wife, Caroline. In 1892, the Newcomb family added a dairy operation to their ranch and began producing California cheese.

In 1935, this ranch became the first cheese producer in the Los Angeles area to pasteurize its milk. This fine estate is one of the largest and oldest dairy operations in Southern California, with more than 1,000 cows producing over 20 types of cheese.
